  • Position Description: The Clinical Therapist is part of the Reclaim13 therapy team and is responsible for psychotherapy that reflects best practices for trauma survivors. This position provides psychotherapies to Reclaim13 program participants and clients and focuses on establishing expertise in mental health services for survivors of child victimization.

    Educational Requirements: Clinical license in a mental-health field

    Additional Requirements:

    * Trained and experienced in conducting trauma-informed psychotherapy 


    * Licensure in a clinically related field 


    * Successful completion of all requirements by the Department of Child and Family Services, 
including background screening and eligibility to transport children. All DCFS requirements must be kept current and updated during all times of employment to serve in this role.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * 1)  Responsible for maintaining and managing a clinical practice with Reclaim13 


    * 2)  Schedule and provide therapy sessions with program participants 


    * 3)  Responsible for clinical progress notes and all required documentation 


    * 4)  Communication of clinical concerns to program staff 


    * 5)  Maintain continuing education requirements as appropriate to professional regulation. 


    * 6)  Maintain updated clinical licenses and professional malpractice 


    * 7)  Responsible for networking, public speaking, writing, and participation in collaborative 
projects nationwide. 


    * 8)  Other duties assigned 


  • Job Description 
    Survivor Advocates facilitate a healing environment in our residential programs by providing daily support to program participants in helping them accomplish their individual goals. 

    Educational Requirements:
    High school diploma or GED equivalent, at minimum 

    Additional Requirements: 
    1. Ideal candidates will possess goal setting, motivational, and teamwork skills.
    2. Successful completion of all requirements by the Department of Child and Family Services, including background screening and eligibility to transport children. All DCFS paperwork and driver eligibility requirements must be kept current and updated during employment to serve in this role. 

    Reports to:
    Residential Program Manager

    Job Responsibilities: 

    • Assist program participants in developing goals and making progress toward individualized program plans.

    • Work with staff team in assisting program partcipants in accomplishing daily goals (e.g., prompting, problem solving, schoolwork, etc.)

    • Maintain notes in the daily logbook regarding daily interactions and interventions of each program participant.

    • Facilitate growth of program participants through scheduled daily activities, including bedtimes if responsible for overnight shifts.

    • Accompany program participants in life skills acquisition outings.(e.g.,grocery store,classes,etc.)

    • Apply the use of CPI and trauma informed therapy techniques with program participants.

    • Organize and distribute donations to the house.

    • Build positive relationships in the community to advocate for the program and program
      participants.

    • Attend scheduled staff meetngs/trainings.

    • Comply with all security protocols.

    • All other duties asassigned. 

    Physical & Travel Demands: 
    Sitting for moderate periods of time.
    Occasional lifting of 20-30 lbs.
    Moderate land travel between main office and client locations, outings, and appointments. 

    All Employees:
    All Reclaim13 employees are expected to comply with the following requirements: 

    1. All employees must maintain and provide, as necessary or requested, updated documentation of completion of all DCFS required forms (e.g., physical health form, fingerprinting, and driver’s license).

    2. All employees are expected to contribute to the integrity and community of the homes and of Reclaim13. As such, any behavior that can be construed as abusive, exploitive, or harmful to either the individuals in our care or to the values of Reclaim13 will result in discipline, up to and including termination of employment.

    3. Reclaim13 is a legally mandated reporter, and all employees must immediately report any actions that might be considered abuse or neglect of any Reclaim13 program participant to the Executive Director and the Program Director. Additionally, all suspected or reported abuse or neglect, will be reported to the Department of Children and Family Services.
